Secret of the Black Pearl - Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla encounter a group of rat-like
groundlings who are harassing Tyron, an old man from the nearby village of Manhat
(the ruins of Manhattan). The groundlings are routed and Thundarr learns that they
were seeking the Black Pearl on behalf of the Wizard Gemini, who fears its power.

Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla agree to deliver the pearl to Manhat on Tyron's behalf and
they leave the old man in the forest under the protection of Ariel's magic. En route
to Manhat, Thundarr battles more groundlings who attack on motorcycles with laser
weapons given to them by Gemini. Thundarr single-handedly routs the groundlings
again and the three heroes enter the ruins of Manhat.

While searching for the villagers in the subway, Ariel is captured by Gemini's robotic
knights and flown to Gemini's death tower via helicopter. Gemini confronts Thundarr
and Ookla, who learn that the black pearl counters Gemini's magic. He tells Thundarr
to surrender the pearl or Ariel will die.

Thundarr and Ookla defeat the knights, capture the helicopter and fly to Gemini's
tower to free Ariel. Ariel's magic distracts Gemini while Thundarr frees her from
her cage and the three heroes head back to Manhat to find the villagers.

Gemini arrives in Manhat riding on the wind and dark clouds of a fierce storm. He
uses his magic to animate the Statue of Liberty, which promptly attacks Thundarr
and company. Gemini threatens to destroy the villagers unless Thundarr surrenders
the pearl. The villagers tell Thundarr to fight on and not worry about their safety, so
Thundarr hurls the pearl at the Statue of Liberty, breaking the spell and returning
her to normal. Gemini flees in defeat and the villagers vow to find more pearls to
combat Gemini's evil magic.

Harvest of Doom - In South America, Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla encounter an
old world train carrying Death Flowers, whose pollen numbs the human will.
The flowers are being harvested by Carocks, a fierce warrior race of humanoid
crocodiles who wish to sell the Death Flowers to an evil Wizard. After the first
encounter with the Carocks, Thundarr and Ariel are thrown into a snake pit and
Ookla is captured and set to work in the Death Flower fields.

After escaping the snake pit, Thundarr and Ariel encounter Tai (Nancy McKeon),
a swamp urchin who agrees to help if the Carocks' train is given to her as payment.
Tai leads Thundarr and Ariel down the river and through a golden Aztec pyramid
into the valley beyond. Ookla, under the mind-numbing spell of the death flowers,
does battle with Thundarr alongside the Carock guards. Oookla and the Carocks
fall to Ariel's magic as Thundarr sets the Death Flower fields ablaze with his
Sunsword, destroying the deadly harvest.

With Ookla freed from the Death Flowers' spell, the three heroes and Tai escape
the valley through the pyramid and follow the Death Flower train on horseback.
Eventually they bring the train to a halt, defeat the Carocks and destroy the train's
deadly cargo. Thundarr and Oookla repair the damage they did to the tracks in
the final battle and turn the train over to Tai as they agreed. Tai appears later in
the series with her train in the episode "Last Train To Doomsday."

Treasure of the Moks - At the remains of a U.S. Naval base, Oblach, a Mok
chieftain is being chased by Captain Kordon, Queen of the River Pirates and
her band of river rats. Kordon is trying to get Oblach to surrender his village's
secret treasure. Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla arrive, do battle with the pirates and,
after Kordon hurls a nest of Hy Cheen (giant killer bees) at Thundarr and friends,
the pirates flee down river.

Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla defeat the Hy Cheen and return with the Mok chieftain
to his village. Meanwhile, Kordon begins searching for the "Fire Lances of the
Ancients" to unleash their power to subjugate the Mok village. Kordon and her
men attack the village, hurtling the fire lances (torpedoes) at the Moks with
catapults mounted on the deck of her vessel.

Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla board Kordon's ship and disable her reamining Fire
Lances. The trio are forced inside a derelict ship where they do battle with a
giant lobster creature known as a Brakt. Ookla and Ariel eject themselves from
the ship via torpedo tubes and Thundarr escapes from the Brakt and escapes from
the ship to the topside.

Meanwhile, Kordon and her pirates have entered the Mok village and are searching
for the treasure. Kordon enters an underground vault and finds it empty. She
screams in disgust, convinced the treasure must be there somewhere. Thundarr,
Ariel and Ookla arrive, defeat the River rats and imprison Kordon in the treasure
vault. It turns out the mound itself is made of gold and is the treasure of the Moks.
Kordon finds herself imprisoned inside the very treasure she was seeking.

Valley of the Man Apes - In the ruins of Hollywood, Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla
encounter Simius and his band of man apes as they dig for an ancient artifact
in the desert. The man apes attack Thundarr and company and vow to destroy
all humans. After a fierce battle, Ookla is thrown from a cliff into a river below
and Thundarr and Ariel break off their battle to find and save their friend.

Thundarr and Ariel track Ookla to a walled village of tiny people who think Ookla
is a man ape. Thundarr frees Ookla and convinces the village leader Seth that
they are friends. Seth tells of his troubles with the man apes, so Thundarr vows
that he and Ariel and Ookla will put a stop to their evil doings.

In the city, the man apes are uncovering another piece of "the Mighty One," an
ancient mechanical ape (King Kong?) from the old world. After another fierce
battle, Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla are captured by the man apes and left to die at
the hands of a dragon outside a saloon.

Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla defeat the dragon and chase the man apes to Studio 13
on an old Hollywood movie studio lot where they complete the construction of the
mighty one. The mighty one comes to life and starts walking towards Seth's village.
Thundarr and friends ride ahead to warn Seth's people of the coming danger. The
mighty one arrives and tears down the walls of Seth's vilage. The heroes are
routed and the villagers desert the walled city. The man apes are victorious!

In the woods outside the city, Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla prepare an old U.S. war
plane for battle against the mighty one. Ariel flies the plane while Thundarr attacks
the mighty one with his Sunsword from the wing. The plane is struck and Ariel and
Ookla parachute to the ground. Thundarr dives and plunges his Sunsword into the
chest of the mighty one, bringing it down to the ground in defeat.

Ariel and Ookla land on the ground and capture Simius in an energy web of Ariel's
magic. The man apes flee in defeat and Seth's people are safe once more. Seth
thanks Thundarr and says they won't need a walled city any longer.

Wizard War - Outside of St. Louis, Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla encounter a group
of villagers under attack by the Wizard Skullus, a floating head with a giant domed
skull, and his army of four armed battle droids formed of pure magical energy. A
battle ensues and Skullus uses his magic to hypnotize the villagers into fighting
for him. As the battle droids fall in battle, Skullus sets the ruins on fire and
teleports up to his ship with the villagers in tow.

Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla escape the burning buildings and head across the desert
of demons into the city of St. Louis. Ariel is captured by desert people who live
in the city ruins and she's dragged underground. Thundarr and Ookla follower her
underground and find her tied in a deathtrap with Jeal, a member of the tribe that
Skullus captured in the desert.

Thundarr and Ookla free Ariel and Jeal and take them out of the underground and
up to the city streets. The four of them ride out into the desert to find Skullus and
free Jeal's people. Jeal tells Thundarr that Skullus is at war wtih Octagon, another
Wizard from the area, and that's why Skullus is enslaving her people.

In the desert, Thundarr and the others encounter Skullus' battle wagon as it heads
towards Octagon's stronghold. Octagon's defenses are putting Jeal's people in
danger so Thundarr decides that they must take Octagon out first. The three heroes
and Jeal infiltrate Octagon's castle to try to defeat his stronghold defenses.

The Wizard Octagon summons a magical creature to battle Thundarr and Ookla.
The creature is immune to brute force and to Thundarr's Sunsword. With a bit of
teamwork, Thundarr and Ookla hurl the creature into Octagon's power generator,
destroying it and lowering the stronghold's defenses. Octagon flees in defeat.

Ariel discovers a map inside Octagon's fortress that outlines a series of underground
tunnels outside the stronghold. Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla head through the tunnels
and come up through the ground under Skullus' war machine. Thundarr cuts his
way into the war machine with his sunsword and battles Skullus to the death.
Thundarr shatters Skullus's dome with his sunsword and Skullus loses control of his magic. The wild magic energy destroys Skullus and his war machine and Jeal's people are freed. [ Back To Top ]

Trial By Terror - Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla arrive in the city of Atlanta just in time
to rescue their friend Thorak from execution at the hands of "the Geyser," a lava
column that erupts periodically from the volcanic earth. The sheriff Korb claims that
Thorak stole fuel from the village and was about to pay the price. Thundarr vows to
prove Thorak's innocence and departs the city in search of evidence.

When Thundarr and friends leave, Korb contacts the Wizard Artemus and warns
him of Thundarr's intent. Apparently Korb stole the fuel for Artemus's death ship
and framed Thorak for it. Artemus warns Korb that he will pay dearly if Thundarr
finds him. The conversation ends with Thundarr and friends riding into the forest.

Ookla's horse falls into a pit full of oil drums, the stolen fuel they're looking for.
Artemus arrives and attacks Thundarr and Ariel. Thundarr surprises Artemus and
sends him fleeing into the woods. Ariel tells Thundarr and Ookla to return to the
village to free Thorak while she scries magically for Artemus.

Thundarr returns to the village and is captured by Korb and his men, who promptly
throw him in jail. Ookla, disguised as a cloaked old woman, frees Thundarr from
his cell and they flee the city, vowing to return and clear Thorak's name. Ariel
appears to Thundarr in a vision and Ookla and Thundarr follow the magical trail to
Artemus's stronghold, a southern plantation house.

Artemus summons a self-replicating snake to battle with Thundarr which ends up
self-destructing after Thundarr and Ookla trick the snake into attacking itself. After
the battle, Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla head back to Atlanta with a captured guard to
clear Thorak's name. Korb and his men pursue them by land and by boat, but the
trio eventually arrives back at the village where Thorak once again faces execution.

As Thundarr confronts the crowd, Artemus arrives in his sky ship and attacks the
village. Ariel, Ookla and Thundarr attack the ship and deal it moderate damage.
Thundarr lures Artemus into flying his ship over the Geyser just as it erupts,
damaging the ship and sending it crashing to the ground. Artemus and Korb are
defeated and the villagers ask Thundarr to be their new sherriff. Thundarr declines
and offers the post to Thorak who becomes Atlanta's new law man.
